How to Setup Your System to Connect to Hermes Internet

Select an operating system from the list on your left for more information and specific setup details. You may also like to check "Setup by Application" area for sample configurations of various application programs like Netscape Navigator, Eudora, etc.

Various programs may require some or all of the following details to be entered:

User name user name allocated to you, for example: derek

sample entries and screen shots on this Web site use "derek", "yourusername" or other sample user names

E-mail address derek@hermes.net.au

replace "derek" with your user name!

Password as we originally allocated do you
Later on you can change your password on line, in secure way – see "Member Services" area
Your personal Web page http://www.hermes.net.au/derek/

Web Proxies, or Proxy Server in your Web browser configuration enter "no" or "none". You do not need to define any parameters. Please make sure that you do not have any old proxy definition left from previous (another ISP) setup!
