How to Connect to Hermes Internet Using Apple Internet Connection KitBefore installing the Apple Internet Connection Kit read "ReadMe" file for system requirements and other important information. The kit also includes comprehensive documentation in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format. To read PDF files you need a copy of Acrobat reader, which is available free from many sources, also from the Internet. InstallingStart Installer, select destination disk, and select easy install option. Installation requires approximately 23MB of free space on your hard disk. Please notice that not all software is copied from the CD, for example all PDF format documentation remains on the CD. After restarting your Macintosh you have to configure installed software for Internet connection. ConfiguringThe above step creates a new folder named "Internet Connection Kit". Double click on icon "Apple Internet Dialler". Do not follow the instructions on the screen they are for creating a connection to Apple network. You need to follow the instructions referring to "if you already have an Internet Service Provider". Go to the top menu and select: "Provider Define Provider Information". Use information provided by us with your new account to answer the question that follow. The screen below shows details for user "joedoe" (replace with user name we allocated to you). Type the same password allocated to you in both password fields shown (what you type would be visible as a string of dots).
On the next screen fill in the server details as shown on the right. Replace sample e-mail address with your e-mail address.
The last screen gives you option to create a connection script. Leave this page empty, connecting to Hermes Internet does not require any additional commands or scripts. If you want to check or modify any parameters later on, simply go to the menu "Provider Modify Current Provider", and change any entry as required. There is no need to define a new provider to change any parameter which you may have entered incorrectly.
