The AUSTRALIAN and NEW ZEALAND LANCIA STRATO'S and STRATO'S REPLICA REGISTER (for owners of Lancia Strato's vehicles)

The "AUSTRALIAN and NEW ZEALAND LANCIA STRATO'S and STRATO'S REPLICA REGISTER" was formed early in 1998 by a group of people who own a Lancia Strato's in the hope of meeting other Strato's owners. This aim has been accomplished with four original cars and six replica cars so far located in Australia. The small number of vehicles is not surprising as there were only 500 ( some say as few as 250 ) originals ever built. Due to the success of the register in Australia, it was decided to incorporate the cars located in our nearest neighbour, New Zealand. The books were opened to them in August 1998, and this move proved most successful with five replicas located.

During the mid 1980’s, an English company saw the potential of this stunning Bertone design and began production of a replica. This car utilised most parts as used in the original with a choice of motors to suit the builder. Suddenly those of us who could never dream of owning a Lancia Strato's had a chance. The replica is indistinguishable from the original, except to an expert, so the replica is also catered for in the register.
