ABOUT THE SOCIETY:

The Society is a non-profit Co-operative of approximately 150 members which provides
a meeting ground for those interested in art and for practising artists.  It covers the Blue
Mountains area from Lapstone to Mt. Victoria, although members from other areas are
very welcome.

The aims are to promote the enjoyment of art, to increase community awareness and to
provide opportunities to expand knowledge and skills.  Most of our members practise
traditional styles - but we are always open to expand our visual horizons.

The following gives a brief overview of some of our activities:

  •  Monthly meetings
  •  Regular Bus Trips
  •  Mini-Exhibitions (Friendly Critique Sessions)
  •  Annual Art Exhibition, Small Paintings Exhibition
  •  Tuition in Oils, Watercolour, Pastel and Drawing
  •  Demonstrations by well-known Artists
  •  Painting Holidays
  •  Social Gatherings - BBQs, Christmas Functions etc

All the above in an atmosphere of friendship and good humour.  We meet on the third
Thursday of the month from February to November, at St. Bonaventure’s Church Hall
Hartley Street Leura.
