The Society is committed to the protection of members’ privacy in accordance with the Federal Government’s Privacy Principles as set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

POLICY STATEMENT

The Society of Mountain Artists will only record personal details of members, agents or customers as necessary to carry out the activities and objectives of the society.

Any or all of the records held will not be disclosed to any person or organization unless consent is given by the member, agent or customer or in a manner authorised or required by law.

Members, agents or customers have the right of access to their personal information recorded by the Society. Members, agents or customers also have the right to have records amended where information held is incorrect.

INFORMATION HELD

Contact Details                      Full name, address and contact details including telephone numbers and in some cases facsimile numbers and e-mail addresses. Post office box numbers and other contact details may also be held.

Personal Details                     Curriculum vitae and personal painting history where provided by the member. Birth dates where required for officers of the Society.

Artist Status                            As to whether the member is a hobbyist or a professional artist. A.B.N. where applicable.

Art Works                                Photographic or electronic copies of member’s art works. Details and value or art works for display or sale.

Financial Details                   Membership subscription payment records. Sales and commission payments and receipts.
