The last year has been a struggle to make ends meet, and at times we've thought that we may not make it. The wonderful feedback that we've had from our readers has kept us going, along with the support from our advertisers. The only thing that allows us to keep publishing is the support of our advertisers, and they need to know that their advertising is working. So, if you want to see the Village Views keep arriving in your letterbox each month, you can help by letting our advertisers know that you saw their ad The first issue of theVillage Views was published in June 1996, but for those of you who've been with us from the start, you may remember that we were actually called The Mid-Mountains Village Voice in the beginning. That's not the only change that the last year has brought either. We've changed our format to a tabloid and we've expanded from 11,000 issues to 15,000 issues, and moved up as high as Katoomba. To mark our first year, we have moved onto the internet too. You can now e-mail us at the address below and you can see the Village Views on the net at: http://www.hermes.net.au/bmvv We are very lucky to have regular contributors to the Village Views who are willing to share their expertise. Thank you to Katrina McKenzie who has contributed to every issue over the last year, and has"retired" from writing for the next few months to concentrate on her nursery, and thanks to Jenny and Glen Matthews from Springwood Fitness Centre, who also contributed last year and have gone on a holiday for a well deserved rest. Ross the vet., Faith from Barkbusters and Robert & Rose from Gaibors are still writing for us and you can read their articles inside. You would not be reading this magazine without the hard work of our sub-contractors who deliver it to your letterbox. So we would like to thank: Gemma, Tim, Alice, Eric, Steven, the Russells, Lisa, Peter, Jack and Jan, Aidan, Frank, the Douglas family, Alan and Brendan for their hard work each month, as well as all of those who have delivered for us in the past. Thank you also to all of our wonderful advertisers who keep us going! We hope you enjoy this latest issue of the Village Views let us know what you think, we love getting your feedback!
