Marjorie Diez de Graterol, female, enjoying the-forty-something's, Venezuelan. Currently in the United States.
I am a Fine Arts and History of Art teacher, retired not because I am old (which may be true) but for being in the US with an special visa status that does not let me work.
My husband does, in mathematical models for Natural Gas. In many ways, it has been very good., I can focus my mind -well, almost-.
Two wonderful kids -15 and 9- and many things to take care of. I like to paint -oil-, some sculpture, metal enameling, drawing, read, and of course, computers.
I got into raytracing surfing in search for Paint shop Pro tips. I use vector and bitmap software a lot, so when I arrived I devoted my time to know internet from being a Dialog user in my country-.
It was 1997. I began using Dr. Halo, Harvard Graphics, and PSP mostly for converting.
Programs:
sPatch: intermediate
POV: always beginner
Bryce4: -looking-for-other-than landscape image level.
Strengths: Related to the visual part of the image -the one I understand better. I am starting to love procedural textures in POV. I fond modeling very easy, coding the hardest.
Weakness: Macros! and sometimes English language.
Working On: IRTC topics -as long as time permits me- and Bryce4.
Objective: Learn and evolve as an artist and try to assemble an approach to the theory of Digital Art. It is nice because I consider digital art to be in an early stage -as a subject of theroretical study, but difficult in the sense of the philosophy and aesthetics. And because aesthetics is still in study since the greeks, It is nice because it is new.
