I am an 18-year- old student in the University of Dayton, studying Computer Engineering.

I learned of PovRay at a college camp in 8th grade, about 5 years ago. I had finished all the assignments so I was bored. I saw the teacher's aide displaying some pictures to a friend so I asked her if she painted. She told me that she used PovRay to draw them and tried to show me how the CSG worked. I reacted in disbelief and asked to see more.

Well, as it turned out, she only used Moray. *grin* I believed that was the only way to access PovRay. I came home with Moray on disk (PovRay was installed on the network and therefore inaccessable) and started searching the local BBS's for PovRay.

I finally found it and learned that one could program it via typing the stuff too! Since then, I've been experimenting although I have never had the time to really commit to it.

Lately, I have not had a chance to work with it because I don't have my own computer here and we are not allowed to install programs on our engineering accounts. *pout* But I've been following you guys and plan to work on my skills once I get back home.
