Name: Anthony D'Agostino Comments: In 1994, I saw a ray traced image (sundae.gif) in Compuserve Magazine and was instantly hooked (read more about this on my web page). Any way, my work takes me away from my computer for 5 months out of the year. I can only do modeling and create images during the other 7 months -- I guess this makes me the first and only seasonal IRTC member. I'm using a 486/DX2 running at a face melting 66MHz -- well, that's what the ad said when I bought it 5 years ago. I ordered a new 450MHz Pentium, but it has not arrived yet and I am going insane. I wonder what the speed difference will be? I've entered only once so far -- I have a hard time creating an image that fits in with the topics. I had great ideas for the "Water" round, but I was away from my PC during those months. When I'm not ray tracing, I enjoy photography. I took a photo that is kind of hard to describe. It is similar to my "engineering" entry, except that instead of golf balls, I used the tiny metal balls from ball point pens to form the pyramid.
