We cover the suburbs of Linden, Woodford, Hazelbrook, Lawson, Bullaburra, Wentworth Falls, Leura, Katoomba, Medlow Bath, Blackheath and Mt. Victoria. We have four counsellors: Natalie, Carrol, Yvette and Veronica; and three trainee counsellors, Jodi, Sara and Amy. As well we have some great group helpers and wonderful community of members. All coming together with their children and their uniqueness to form a harmonious and active group. Every person who joins the Australian Breastfeeding Association can receive a free copy of "Breastfeeding Naturally", normally valued at $34.95. Renewing members have a new free gift when they renew. Subscribe online or subscribe when you sign up for a Breastfeeding Class. The New Helpline number for NSW is: 02 8853 4999. The helpline is staffed by our extensively trained volunteer counsellors round the clock, seven days a week. There's also email counselling available from the ABA website. The Australian Breastfeeding Association(ABA) is a large community-based self-help group, recognised as a leading authority on breastfeeding management. The Association provides innovative counselling and support services to the community and health sector throughout Australia. You will find a wealth of information for both breastfeeding women and for health professionals and others who are involved in supporting and promoting breastfeeding on their web site. Lactation Resource Centre is a great resource for health professionals and anyone interested in learning more about breastfeeding. |
